Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
Mark 11:24 “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them”
Romans 1:17 “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
Dearly beloved…As we consider the above verses we will be able to see that FAITH is an important ingredient of the Christian life if we desire to live it the way God intended us to. Pleasing God and receiving from Him would be impossible without faith. And the bible states that our Christian life is meant to be lived daily by faith.
How can we know whether we have this God-pleasing faith in us? I want to share with you five signs of such faith:
#1. Such a faith will be evidenced by PRAYER in a person’s life
A person who prays, does so because he or she believes that “God is” and that “God rewards people who diligently seek Him in prayer”. Is this not the faith described in Hebrews 11:6 ? .
#2. Such a faith will be evidenced by the CONVERSATION that flows out of a person’s mouth
Mathew 12:34 echoing the words of Jesus teaches that “….. For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”. The faith ( or lack of it) in a persons heart cant be seen but can be judged by the words that flow out of a person’s mouth.
#3. A person of faith will be a person who praises God in advance for a miracle that is still on its way
Remember God’s command to Israel at Jericho (Joshua 6) ? They were to shout (give praises to God ) on the seventh day. We, in their shoes, would maybe have asked…but God, the wall of Jericho hasn’t fallen yet – no?. God’s answer I believe would be – the man in the world would praise God after the walls fell but, the citizen of God’s kingdom, the man of faith will thank and praise God in advance because He believes his prayers have been answered and the miracle he needs is on its way.

#4. A persons faith is evidenced by his refusal to give up and his decision to keep on keeping on
When the miracle you are looking for hasn’t manifested, when the obstacle before you hasn’t been removed, when your problem seems to be unsolvable…the easiest thing to do is quit. But the quitter quits because he can’t believe for something better. The person with faith can and will hold on because he/she puts his/her faith in the “God of the breakthrough”
#5. God-pleasing faith is evidenced by accountable living
Accountable living is a result of a person believing in the scriptures that say “God is” and that we will have to “give an account of the way we lived our life on earth to Him”
Check yourself dear friend to see how much of God-pleasing faith is evidenced by the way you live your life…and if needed take the time and effort to correct course…
May the Lord bless you abundantly
